AP Calculus Exam day goodie bags!

For the third year in a row, I created goodie bags to hand out to my students on the day of the exam. I love creating these to give them a little morale boost either right before or in the middle of the exam. The first year I did this, some of them told me it really helped them push through to the end of their 4 hour AP exam. After all their hard work this year, they deserve it!

I usually buy everything from Amazon except for the actual baggies - those are from the amazing Dollar Tree we have in town. Putting them together is quick, except for tying all those twist-ties at the end - THAT part is annoying!

Here are links to the Amazon products I typically put in the bags. This is the first year I put Fig Newtons into the baggies. Let’s see if they catch on to the Isaac Newton reference…

SECOND CHANCE ERASERS

PEPPERMINT 5 GUM

FIG NEWTON COOKIES (individually wrapped)

SMARTIES BULK BAG

I LOVE MATH PENCILS

I also put in some kind of printed out note or message for them. My first year, I printed them little Deriver’s Licenses (without their names on them). The second year, I printed out little sheets making references to what I put in the bag. This year, I got fancy and used Canva for the first time ever to create two cute little notes that I am printing out on colorful cardstock paper. Here’s a sped up video of how I created one of them on Canva:

Here’s a PDF link of the note cards that I created and printed for the bags. Page 1 is the older version and pages 2 and 3 are what I used this year.

Good luck to all AP Calculus students taking their exams this week!
